Where the pressure is

A manufacturer selling through distributors and retailers lives on two things: its terms of trade and its brand. Supplier and purchase terms decide who carries the risk when a delivery or a tinting system fails. Unauthorised online resellers undercut the network and dilute the name. And a skilled workforce brings the ordinary employment questions that still need careful handling.

The Lawyerly figure is the published plan price for that period, plus our published fixed fees at that plan’s subscriber discount for any matters beyond the allowance. The comparison applies the Guideline Hourly Rate for a Grade C solicitor in London 1, £305 an hour from 1 January 2026, at an average of four and a half hours a matter. Guideline Hourly Rates are set by the courts for the assessment of costs and sit below commercial rates, so the comparison is conservative. Matter counts come from our case system, September 2026. Each client has approved the use of their name.
