LEGAL
Sustainability Statement
Version 2.0 · Last updated 28 October 2026
How we run Lawyerly responsibly, and where we can make a real contribution.
Our approach
As a law firm, our most meaningful contribution is social rather than environmental. It lies in how we make legal support accessible to small and medium-sized businesses, how we treat our people, and how responsibly we run the firm.
This statement sets out what we do in each of these areas. We keep it to what we do now and can show, and we update it as our approach develops.
Access to legal support
Our subscriptions give businesses ongoing access to a regulated law firm at a fixed, predictable price, so that legal advice is part of running the business rather than something sought only when a problem arises.
This work aligns most closely with UN Sustainable Development Goal 16, which promotes access to justice and strong institutions.
Our people
We aim to be a fair and inclusive place to work. Everyone who works for us does so under a written contract, and we offer flexible and remote working.
How we run the firm
We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and bound by its Code of Conduct.
We choose established suppliers and assess new ones before engaging them. Our approach to modern slavery is set out in our Modern Slavery Statement.
Our environmental footprint
We run our practice digitally. Instructions, documents and signatures are handled through the Client Hub and electronic signature, and most of our team works remotely, which keeps our use of paper and travel low.
We have not yet measured our carbon footprint, and we do not make claims about it. As we grow, we will consider measuring it and setting targets where that would be meaningful.
